London's Calling
I am leaving for London, England in 4 hours. Am I ready to go... of course not. Will I be getting any sleep tonight.... seeing as it is 12:05AM I am assuming not. Do I care? Hell no because I am going to LONDON! Studying Abroad is supposed to be about the adventure, not about getting sleep so who cares if I need to pull a few all-nighters in order to get everything done I need too. At least I am here, experiencing life to the fullest, and kicking ass in the meantime.
What was I thinking?!
I am 51 days into my Study Abroad experience here in Rome, and it just now occurred to me that if I do not document what I am doing I will eventually forget things. Like I may for instance forget that today I learned that pasta with salmon and vodka sauce although sounds delicious, tastes like a horses ass. I may also forget that this past weekend in Krakow, Poland I ate mushrooms three times, and I liked them.... (I have hated them my entire life so this is a big deal) Or I may forget that today I broke my roommates blow dryer while trying to use it to dry my clothes because Roman's don't understand that dryers are a wonderful invention. Everyday here is an adventure, and everyday I learn something new either about myself, or about this beautiful city and I do not want to forget all of these memories. When I get old, and my brain completely fails me, I want to be able to read this and remind myself about this life changing experience. So as of today, March 5th, 2015 I am blogging my study abroad experience. It may not be the most conventional blog, and it may be a little scattered brained but its me, and its my story so I can tell it however the hell I want too. So if anyone out there is reading this, you are just going to have to damn well deal with my writing style. I never said I was a good writer, but here goes nothing!
